Release of Property or Evidence

The Bremerton Police Department is responsible for the tracking and storage of large amounts of property and evidence that are placed by Police Officers and Crime Scene Technicians on a daily basis.

If you are requesting the release of property or evidence which is being held (for any reason) by the Bremerton Police Department, you must contact the Crime Scene/Property & Evidence Unit by telephone at 360-473-5339 to set up an appointment to pick up your property. No property will be released without an appointment. No exceptions will be made to this policy. Property will only be released on weekdays, Monday through Friday. The Support Services Sections of the Bremerton Police Department are closed on weekends and holidays. 

Retrieving Property

When calling have your police report case number ready for them to retrieve your case file. If no one is available to answer your call, leave your name, case number, telephone number, and time to reach you in a voice mail. An Evidence Technician will return your call as soon as possible.
