Mayor's Challenge

Mayor's Challenge 2022

The 2023 Mayor’s Challenge award period is now closed.

Solve a Problem for Your City:

The Mayor's Challenge Award is a special award that recognizes projects in the Washington State Science & Engineering Fair that embrace solutions faced by cities and towns across our state.

Do you have solutions?

Two projects that encompass solutions to City issues will be chosen for funding for the Mayor’s Challenge Washington State Science & Engineering Fair (WSSEF). One project from Grades 9 - 12 and one project from Grades 1 – 8 are eligible. Projects will be selected from WSSEF participants.

How will YOU make a difference solving today’s problems?
