Lieutenant Beau Ayers brings over 21 years of dedicated law enforcement experience to the Bremerton Police Department. Originally from Ohio, he has spent the past 13 years serving the Bremerton community in a variety of key assignments.

Lt. Ayers began his career with Bremerton PD as a patrol officer before transferring to the General Investigations Unit, where he served as a detective. He was promoted to Corporal and then to Sergeant of the General Investigations Unit. Over the years, he has taken on several pivotal roles, including serving on the Kitsap Critical Incident Response Team (KCIRT) and the department’s Honor Guard.

In September 2024, Lt. Ayers was promoted to his current rank of Lieutenant. He was instrumental in the creation and development of the department’s Office of Professional Standards, helping to establish its structure, policies, and oversight responsibilities. In his current role as Support Services Lieutenant, he oversees several essential divisions: Records, Warrants, Evidence, the General Investigations Unit, and Community Resources.

Before joining the Bremerton Police Department, Lt. Ayers began his law enforcement career in Ohio, where he served for five years as a patrol officer. He later joined the U.S. Border Patrol, gaining experience along both the southern and northern borders. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Ohio University.

Outside of work, Lt. Ayers enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
