The Kitsap County-City of Bremerton HOME Consortium has received $2,653,349 of HOME-American Rescue Plan funds from the US Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to address the need for housing and supportive services for families who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or in other vulnerable populations. The City of Bremerton will receive $822,538 of the total allocation. Together the City of Bremerton and Kitsap County will set-aside funds for BHA to undertake a housing counseling program to assist households in using Housing Choice Vouchers to secure permanent housing countywide. The City’s remaining funds will be used in partnership with BHA on a rental development in Bremerton.
The City of Bremerton will hold a public hearing and take separate action on it’s share of the HOME-ARP funds at the Bremerton City Council meeting on March 15, 2023 at 5:30pm, at the Norm Dicks Government Center, First Floor Meeting Chambers, 345 6th Street, Bremerton.
