Gov. Inslee Announces Plan to Resume Some Construction Projects in the State
Today, Governor Inslee announced a plan that was developed in consultation with the construction industry in the state. The effort would resume certain construction activity if appropriate health and safety standards are met to protect workers and the public. Residential and commercial projects that were previously in progress could potentially be restarted soon under the state’s new strategy. Bremerton residents can find more on the plan here.
The Governor’s announcement is part of a phased-in approach to reopen communities, including the City of Bremerton. Mayor Wheeler appreciates the hard work of citizens to get the City prepared for the next phase.
“This wouldn’t have happened without the commitment and determination of our residents and businesses to reducing the spread of the virus in our City and surrounding communities,” said Mayor Wheeler. “I want to thank Bremertonians for their remarkable strength and resilience during this unprecedented crisis. Our community is unmatched in spirit and character. We will move forward together.”
