Proclamation of Emergency Issued for City of Bremerton
On Thursday, March 12, Mayor Greg Wheeler signed a Proclamation of Emergency in response to coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Emergency Declaration will allow the City to take essential steps for the potential spread of the virus in Bremerton, including preparing for impacts to the public, preserving health and well-being of employees, and continuing the delivery of services to the citizens of Bremerton.
“This proclamation will give us authority to move quickly and work swiftly with our partners to respond to a possible outbreak in our City,” said Mayor Greg Wheeler. “We will continue to monitor updates and take the necessary steps to help protect the health and safety of our community and employees.”
