Mid-day on Monday, December 14th Washington Avenue will re-open to traffic. North and south bound lanes will be open, along with the intersections of 5th and 6th Streets. However, the traffic signals at 6th Street and Washington Avenue and at Manette Bridge and Washington Avenue will remain in a flashing red pattern. Travelers should treat these intersections as four way stops until the light cycles are fully activated. In addition, the northerly crosswalk at 6th and Washington will remain closed. Temporary lane closures will be necessary in the coming weeks to wrap up work along Washington. Please continue to use caution in this area as construction workers will continue to be present.
