Improvements to pathways for Bicycle and pedestrian traffic downtown around the ferry terminal are needed to improve safety and promote walkability.
The End Result
The City has been awarded grant funding to design and install bicycle lane improvements on Washington Avenue from Ferry Terminal to 6th Street. Design and Installation of a westbound bike lane on Burwell from Washington to Pacific. Design and Installation of bicycle lane improvements on Pacific Avenue from Burwell to the Ferry terminal. Design will also include installation of pedestrian lighting improvements to pedestrian crosswalks (2nd & Pacific & 1st & Pacific).
The City Bid this project in July 2020 and received one bid. The City, in its best interest, has rejected all bids and will re-bid this project at a later date which is yet to be determined.
