Kitsap County Approved to Begin Phase 2 on Valentine’s Day
Governor Inslee recently announced the Northwest region, made of Kitsap and three other counties, will be moving into Phase 2 of the state’s Roadmap to Recovery plan on February 14. The Northwest region met all four of the health metrics to move into the next phase under the state’s Healthy Washington reopening plan. “Bremertonians and residents throughout Kitsap County have taken extraordinary steps during this time to limit the spread of COVID-19 and we’ve been able to move to Phase 2 as a result,” said Mayor Wheeler. “As more businesses and activities reopen and some small gatherings resume under this next stage, it’s important to still follow health measures like wearing masks and social distancing to keep cases from escalating. With Phase 2 beginning this Valentine’s Day, I have faith that our community will continue to take exceptional steps to protect friends, neighbors and loved ones.”
