Kitsap Public Health Board to Consider Phase 3 Proposal at Public Meeting on Friday, June 19
At the Kitsap Public Health virtual meeting tomorrow (Fri., June 19), board members will decide whether to approve an application to move to Phase 3 of the state’s "Safe Start" COVID-19 recovery plan. The meeting is open to the public and will take place from 9-10 a.m.
Individuals can listen to the discussion using a computer or phone and share verbal public comments during the time allotted. To join the Zoom meeting, see the instructions at the end of the meeting agenda.
The health board meeting will be broadcast live on Comcast channel 12, WAVE channel 3, and the BKAT website (https://bit.ly/2UMmln7).
Mayor Wheeler is a member of the Kitsap Public Health Board and will consider all public comments before voting whether to move forward with the Plan 3 application.
The Board of County Commissioners has scheduled a meeting immediately following at 10 a.m. tomorrow to consider taking up the recommendation by Kitsap Public Health if approved by the Health Board. An approval by the Commissioners would mean the application would then be submitted to the state Secretary of Health who would determine if Kitsap County qualifies to move to Phase 3. The time for a decision is determined by the state’s health department review process.
