Effective immediately the courthouse is open and operational for public observations and in-person hearings. Zoom use is only for those defendants that have been pre-approved, all others are to appear in person. All infraction cases on Thursday afternoons will remain as remote proceedings.
The Bremerton Municipal Court is a court of limited jurisdiction. Court sessions are open to the public. We welcome all to view our judicial system at work.
The mission of the Bremerton Municipal Court, as an independent and impartial branch of the City of Bremerton community’s government, is to resolve issues fairly and impartially, ensure the protection of the rights and liberties of all individuals, deliver accessible and inclusive justice, and ensure a dignified forum to build public confidence and trust in the court system.

The Municipal Court Judge is authorized by Washington State Statute to preside over the following types of cases occurring within city limits of Bremerton:
Misdemeanor criminal charges (domestic violence offenses, assault, theft, and drug offenses)
Misdemeanor criminal traffic offenses (driving under the influence, physical control, and reckless driving)
