Reservoir 17 Interior Coating Replacement

Project Overview

Reservoir 17, constructed in 1977, supplies water to the East 398 Zone in East Bremerton. The reservoir interior was last coated in 1997 and the coating should be replaced. The City will hire a contractor to abrasive blast and coat the interior with a zinc primer and epoxy coating system, which should last for an estimated 30 years.   

Project Status 

The contract has been awarded to Markley’s Precision Company for $387,938.46.  They will be starting the work in early September with anticipated completion in early to mid-October.

This project is funded in the Water Capital Budget.

Schedule

The Notice to Proceed was issued in late August and the work is ongoing with completion anticipated in mid-October.
