From March through April 2019, a survey was conducted to determine the City of Bremerton’s compliance with Public Right of Way Accessibility Guideline 2011, PROWAG, with respect to marked and/or metered on-street parking. Based on the findings of the survey, a new on-street parking layout was developed. Public Works and Utility Staff collaborated on a work plan to implement the new on-street parking layout which will be completed entirely by city crews. Work on the project began in December 2019.
Project Status
City crews have now completed the majority of work which did not require physical alterations of the existing roadway improvements and sidewalks. The blocks with completed improvements include:

The remaining improvements require removal of existing sidewalks, curb and gutter to construct ADA ramps, place and install sign bases, and other work. This work is anticipated to be completed by Fall of 2024.
